My son and I stayed here for our last two nights in Japan, after having stayed at Shinjuku Station for a week, then kyoto, Osaka and Hakone.  What we liked about the the Marunouchi hotel - Location right in Tokyo station, you don't have to come above ground to access the hotel, in Shinjuku we did have to walk above above ground - this mattered as it was extremely hot outside and we enjoyed the air conditioned corridors underground for Marunouchi. There are lots of shopping/restaurants at both locations -my son enjoyed Character street at Tokyo station and there were better restaurants and shops at Tokyo station.  you can't go wrong staying at either station. We liked the size of the hotel room, very comfortable beds/pillows.  the view from the room was just okay, we could see our courtyard, but no city view.  The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly!  We both agree that we preferred the JK Blossom hotel in Shinjuku value for money, as well as location, over the Marunouchi at Tokyo station - for- room size, modern, shower/bath and the breakfast was delicious, and felt we had better access to sites we wanted to see from Shinjuku station.

The Marunouchi Hotel is everything I want in a hotel. The location is of course amazing with Tokyo Station next door. However, I can safely say that I would have loved to spend many more nights here than just the one. The reception staff is very welcoming and attentive, their english was very good which we appreciated a lot. Our room was furnished to a really nice standard, with a comfy bed and great amenities. Everything was spotless and wonderfully clean. Our room overlooked Tokyo Station so we had a nice time watching the trains come and go while having a coffee in the morning. Finally, the hotel had organised a special sake to be handed out for New Years Day. I can't wait to book this hotel again, and also try the restaurants there.

Wonderful hotel, location and staff!! You can reach this hotel via an underground passageway from Tokyo Station, so there's no need to go outside if the weather is bad and you have luggage. The attached mall has restaurants, a convenience store and shopping for books, etc. Easy access to the Narita Express airport train as well as the Shinkansen going in all directions. Rooms on the east side overlook the train tracks from above so you can watch the clean, efficient and quiet trains coming and going. To the south, the historic Tokyo Station Hotel is visible from windows in corner rooms.

Amazing location and truly traditionally named hotel! The staff is makes you feel the true Japanese hospitality! The facilities are a little old however it is managed in pristine condition!! The cleaning is perfect and the room size is roomier than other business level hotels Also they are currently going under renovation so I can expect that the rooms will be very much upgraded:) One important info is, even though they are going through renovation I haven’t seen any sign of construction going on, which was great. No worries on staying there! Will definitely visit here again.

Loved the extra convenient location right across from Tokyo Station. Access to hotel via the underground passage from the train station, so even if it rains or the weather is unpleasant outside you're good to go. Note that the room size is bigger than most in Tokyo. Everything felt posh and premium. The hotel provided my son with yukata for pjs and cute kids toiletries, that was a lovely touch despite being a very business-oriented hotel. Kudos to the cleaning staff and supervisor, the cleanliness is top-notch.
